PQLs are different from Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs), as they have already shown an interest in the product by actively using it, rather than through marketing or sales outreach. As an example for B2B SaaS, consider a project management software that offers a free trial. If a user signs up for the free trial, uses the product extensively, and invites their colleagues to use the product as well, they may be considered a PQL.
